For Mardi Gras, the (very rich) mom of one of the girls I work with overnighted us a King Cake from a bakery in New Orleans. Not only was it one of the prettiest cakes I have ever seen (it was totally airbrushed purple and iridescent):
But it was extremely delicious as well. Its like a cream cheese danish, but a cake. Yummmmmmmmy.
